Ah, Minnesota. The state that has 2 seasons...winter and august. It’s a good thing Big Brother & the Holding Company came to Minnesota when they did. It was a perfect August week-end. Where else but in Minnesota would there be 3 festivals on the same week end. For rock and blues music lovers the week-end of August 14-15-16 was a tough call. In Duluth there was the annual Bayfront Blues festival on the shores of Lake Superior. In Minneapolis they had the Cedarfest and in Saint Paul it was the 3rd Annual Riverfeast Festival. But in Saint Paul we are a bit unique. 3 days of fun & free music over looking the Mississippi River on the Wabasha Bridge. That’s right folks, on the bridge. A stage at each end of the bridge, with vendors in between. It proved to be a good set up and a good time was had by all. Oh, by the way, Big Brother kicked some ass.
